MfG Manuel

Viele danke!

Manuel: (Sorry for writing in English) They never receive direct sunlight, it seems like indirect sunlight illumination is enough. I also think this clone is different from others, because it gets too dark even with poor light, but low temperature helps a lot to get these hues (8°C at night, 20°C at day).

Hello,

congratulations these Cephalotus look absolutely fantastic. Especially the coloration is very intensive.

I wonder what clone this is. Could your give us some more Informations about that?

greetings

Hello Karl.

Unfortunately I don't know the exact origin of this clone, I bought this plant 6 years ago at a nursery here in Mexico. Most carnivorous plants in Mexico are imported from Holland, from a company called "Sigma", but I'm not sure if this Cephalotus comes from Sigma.

All I know is this clone produces only tiny pitchers compared with other clones, pitchers are no bigger than 4.5 cm, but they have a great coloration, even with poor light.

Hello,

thats very intresting, I´ve got some Cephs in direct sunlight, but they haven´t nearly as good colaration as your´s. Makes me a bit jealous

Do you have your little Cephs under the same conditions as your adult Plants?

greetings

Nope, those little cephs are 2 years old seedlings, they grow in a highland terrarium with some Nepenthes.
